Choosing A Good Gamer PC Based On Specs

By Shirley Campbell

For those who love to play games at home or for those who want to become professional players, they will need a good computer for games. Now, in order to have a gamer pc, certain specs will be needed to take the heavy requirements of games. So for those who are really serious about getting a powerful gaming computer, here are some of the things to take note of with regard to the specs.

Now, the very first thing that one has to take a look at is the CPU. Most games need to have a minimum of two core processors in order to run. However, one needs to take note of the requirements of the game because other games would require a higher core processor than just the usual dual core processor.

Aside from that, one must also take into consideration how the processor would affect the definition of the game. In order to get a high def gaming experience, the least that one would need is a 2.5Ghz processor. For more modern processors, the thing to watch out for would be whether the processor is an i5 or i7 wherein the i5 is the minimum needed for gaming and the i7 is the most powerful type.

After the processor has been handled, the next thing to think of would be the graphic cards. In order to have a good gaming quality, the motherboard has to be able to run dual graphic cards which means that there must be a dual slot to be able to take these cards. Also, the motherboard must have the right slots for either the NVIDIA cards or the AMD Crossfire cards as these are the recommended graphic cards.

Now, another thing that one would have to take note of would be the display and memory of the graphic cards. A good range for memory of a graphic card would be around 2GB to 4GB because these memories can play up to 60 or 90 frames per second. This ensures that lagging can be prevented.

Next on the list is the RAM, which has to be compatible with the motherboard. The best motherboards for games would have a RAM of either DDR3 or DDR4. As for the amount of memory, either 16GB or 32GB will do but this will depend on the size of the game which is why 32GB is the most recommended.

Lastly, one has to consider the hard drive storage. HDD storage is probably the most common and must have a 7200RPM with a cache memory of at least 16MB in it. As for the storage memory, it is wise to have at least 250GB but if one can get a memory of up to 500GB, then all the better.

Now, those are some of the most basic things that one must have in order to have a good gaming computer. Other stuff can come later such as a gaming mouse, keyboard, joystick, power supply, high def monitor, and other things. As long as the basic things are gotten, then the computer is good to go.
