By Daisy Molloch

Tumblr is probably one of the famous social media web sites that mixes microblogging and social networking into one. Unlike a normal blog, Tumlbr will only permit a smaller file size or shorter content in posts. Posts can be texts, videos, audios, pictures and links. Tumblr also encourages reaching out to fellow Tumblr users and sharing posts with one another.

Since Tumblr is also a social networking site, it is important to get more supporters to enhance your blog exposure. It can often be rather confusing and daunting the best way to start gaining those fans, but there are 1 or 2 straightforward steps you can follow to get a bit more followers:

1. The 1st essential step is to post a high quality looking image. Select a photo that may put you in an attractive light which will best represent who you are. You may also post an emblem or symbol that may tell a lot on what type of blog you run. Remember, logo or personal photograph must be clear and eye catching. This can get the awareness of any potential supporters.

2. Think about a good blog name that sounds fascinating. If you do not want to post your actual name, you can make a blog name that best represents who you are. Any potential follower will look at the blog name and should really know much of the time what the blog is all about. Some fans are variable, if your name is hardly interesting or offending, they won't even test your blog out.

3. Create or post an enticing theme or wallpaper for your blog. Folks are visible creatures so they get most attracted with a well designed blog. Themes should best represent who you are but at the very same time, it should not look too colourful or very designed so as not to be a diversion.

4. Attach tags to your post. Much like the hashtags on Twitter, tagging your post will permit other Tumblr users to see your post. Tagging will give your posts a broader range of exposure because a large amount of users check out tagged post on Tumblr frequently.

5. Reblogging is good for exposure. All those people who liked and also reblog a particular post will be displayed, making your account perceivable also to each one of them. If you choose to reblog a certain post, the person who owns that post will be interested and check you out and that person can become your Tumblr proponent.

6. You may visit the site Tumblr Train and have an increased exposure to your blog. Users of Tumblrs who post on Tumblr Train are on the lookout for their own supporters. Posting on it and being a "passenger" on the train will permit other people to look take a look at your website and become a potential proponent. Follow a fellow passenger to get a follow back too.

7. Post a link to other social media accounts. It is very useful if you're the owner of other social media like Twitter and Facebook as you can fasten a link to your Tumblr to get rather more proponents from those accounts. Masses of Tumblr users post on other social media internet sites and requesting others to follow their account in return for a follow back. You can do this for your account as well.

Use the follow for follow strategy. This is a standard Tumblr practice to get more proponents.
